Hey Drunkelback, there's a reason you got caught while drunk driving your $175,000 Lamborghini.
It's called karma.
SURREY, B.C. — Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has been convicted of drunk driving in a B.C. court.Kroeger, whose real name is Chad Turton, had almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he was stopped for speeding in Surrey, B.C., in June of 2006.
He was driving a $175,000 Lamborghini.
His lawyer tied to have the charges dropped by arguing the Mountie who stopped Kroeger conducted an unlawful search by having the singer blow in his face after detecting the smell of alcohol.
The lawyer also claimed the police took too long in getting Kroeger back to the detachment for a breath sample, but the judge rejected both arguments.
Kroeger will be sentenced May 1, and could face a fine or a temporary driving ban.

Chad is a fantastic musician, but he really needs to make better choices when it comes to drinking and driving.

The choice he made that night to get behind the wheel could have killed someone, thank goodness it didn't.

UPDATE: Kroeger received a $600 fine and a one year driving prohibition. Tsk, tsk, how will he afford the fine? He can't take out the Lambo for awhile and thus will be forced to use the chauffeured limo!
Thanks for the update, moonwolf, I'm sure it's going to be a tough year ahead for him.
