Leave it to Fox News to claim that Republicans are "stocking up on guns" now that Obama has been elected president.
Seriously.
When 10-year-old Austin Smith heard Barack Obama had been elected president, he had one question: Does this mean I won't get a new gun for Christmas?

Firearms were an excellent investment in 1994. Might be so again.

Sick! Is it just me, or is there something wrong with a society where your kid wants a gun for Christmas, instead of a PSP or a WII?

One's right to bare arms should fall upon a self-decision once the individual has surpassed the age of adulthood. Some at 18 are still not adults and may never get there. If, one is going to own and/or bare arms there should be; (a) evaluations of their background and criminal behavior; (b) classes of schooling to attend and pass; (c) testing with weapons on a firearms range; (d) and, physiological evaluation as to their mental well being.
The 2nd Amendment is a Right and, hopefully, shall remain, but it is more a privilege... like driving an automobile. If, you can't control yourself and your vehicle, sorry you lose your right to drive! As for the kid’s Christmas… try Warcraft.

dont contradict yourself
The 2nd amendment is a RIGHT. (thats a period after)
and the Supreme Court has upheld that it is an individuals right also
There is nothing in the amendment that says "privelege"
Our founding fathers thought so highly of this right that they made it the 2nd one addressed in the Bill of Rights

Guns never go out of style as Christmas gifts. The holidays are the perfect time to get a new gun or pass on an heirloom.

You just have to make sure that you obey all relevant laws governing the transfer of firearms.
As for the gunbuying rush, gun owners have every reason in the world to suspect a Democratic administration of harboring plans for gun control.
