Remains of Noah's Ark Found in Turkey, Mount Ararat: Found By Christian Researchers?
A group of evangelical Christian researchers say they have found the wreckage of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat in Turkey.
A group called the The Noah's Ark Ministries International formed a Chinese and Turkish team to search for Noah's Ark in 2003 and on Tuesday they claimed to have the elusive ark from the Old Testament.
“It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark, but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it,” researcher Yeung Wing-Cheung told Agence-France Presse.
The researchers and a film crew have apparently uncovered wooden beams and compartments they say housed the animals. Carbon dating has proven the structure to be 4,800 years old, Yeung said, which gibes with the literal biblical timeline of the flood. He also says the group has ruled out a human settlement at the dig site.
The story of Noah and the Ark tells the tale of Noah being commanded to store animals, two-by-two, because God was going to flood the earth and cleanse it of corrupt humanity.
The search for Noah's Ark has been ongoing every since the biblical story became part of Christian mythology. To date Noah's Ark has not been found.
Mount Ararat has long been believed to have been the final resting place of the ark, which according to be Bible, came to rest upon the top of a mountain.
Carbon dating shows that the wood the group recovered was 4,800 years old, which would put it around the time of the ark, the team claimed.

The video doesn't have it facts right about Noah, so how can you believe any of the story? Some of the parts that are wrong. Of course, the ark was not a ship; it needed only to float. And wood does not sink. Nevertheless, it required advanced construction techniques. And it had to be covered inside and outside with tar. It may have taken more than 50 years to build. He also was told to take seven clean beast, not clean just two as found in the Bible(Genesis 7:2-3, Of every clean beast you must take to yourself by sevens, the sire and its mate; and of every beast that is not clean just two, the sire and its mate; 3 also of the flying creatures of the heavens by sevens, male and female, to preserve offspring alive on the surface of the entire earth.) and had 120 years to do it all. Genesis 6:3.
