Norway's Alexander Rybak has won the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with 387 points.

The Eurovision Song Contest final takes place in Moscow, Russia tonight, and voters in 25 countries are poised to cast their vote for who is competing from their country.
Alexander Rybak from Norway is the favourite to win, closely followed by the contestants from Greece, Turkey, the UK and Azerbaijan.
Graham Norton will be the new commentator for the BBC, as Terry Wogan stepped down from the job last year.
Speaking in the Russian capital, Norton revealed that he had spoken to his predecessor, who commentated on every Eurovision final from 1980.
"Terry rang me to wish me good luck," said the TV presenter. "He advised me to resist having a drink until the fifth song," he added.
For the first time the voting will be split between the public and a panel of musical experts.

Now as Terry Wogan has stopped doing the ESC for the BBC , and we all understand why, we ex-pats Living Down under in Australia are subject to local commentators who are unbelievably BAD. And Boy do i mean BAD.
Ill informed comments, almost non stop prattling and interruptions during the whole Contest.
One of the interruption was during the Final, was when they interviewed the French Entrant, during the interview One of the 2 annoying host Julia Zemiro commented how bad the song from Czechoslovakia was, Yes that’s Right Czechoslovakia, a Country that doesn't exist anymore. During the voting they never shut up, and seemed to get bored, so Julia Zemiro decided to open a packet of Crisps, and started munching into the Microphone, we were Gob smacked !!!!! MY God, Terry Wogan would never have done that. I am writing to you today, because the Local TV station in Australia SBS who broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest , are censor ring most of the negative comments on the blog which has been set up . (www.sbs.com.au/eurovison) We want the BBC Graham Norton version, I watched it via the Net, and thought he did a good job, giving us some really great laughs with his great witty comments. Laughter has also been a great part of the ESC. We never laughed once during the Australian Version of the ESC, instead, We all screamed at the TV akin to a mad drivers in cars with Road Rage , at the crap we was hearing. Regards Dave in Australia2
