Once again Alex Maine former Managing Director of the National Variety Performance has left some encouraging and almost alarming tweets behind him. Over the past few weeks Mr Maine's tweets have been few and far between but as of late they have become more detailed giving away key facts and clues about what the young entrepreneurs plans are.

Earlier this year it was reported that he had been asked to return to the UK to take his old position as MD of the NVP. In a blog post Alex said that the rumor was true and that he had declined the position. Furthermore he was planning to settle in Nova Scotia on a more permanent basis and was looking forward to working on his new community reward scheme, the Haliwards. The Haliwards is based on Mr Maine's project, The Pride of Central Somerset.

Alarm bells started ringing when Alex posted that he had been 'considered for refusal' on his visa application. This was tweeted moments after he confirmed that the Haliwards was back on track. We know that Alex has scheduled an appointment at City Hall to see an official next week but it is not yet known on what grounds this meeting is for.

This whole situation has left many to beleive that Alex plans to bring the National Variety Performance to Nova Scotia. If this is the case then it would make sense for the Haliwards to be the 'tester' for Canada's market. One tweet posted by Alex requesting that "@NVP" is released because it is currently being held has backed up many peoples beleifs. The National Variety would make a major impact on Halifax Regional Municipality and would greatly improve the economy.
