OK,  where to begin?  Obama knew the implicit conflict and seeds of chaos within his platform of change;  he will stand undaunted.  Although the right is declaring his battle over ObamaCare all but lost,  I think he is shifting his rhetoric in characteristic style:  Not because, as they say, he is "giving up",  but because he is an evoker of response.  As on the campaing trail,  he has large and sensitive antenae, and he knows when to alter his text to soothe the unconscious fears of his audience.  He listens for the response,  and then comes the counter response.  In my opinion,  he is at the top of his game,  albeit in a highly explosive situation.  Not for the gutless, reform.

It seems that many on  the right are as hysterical now, regarding Obama,  as were many on the left during the 8 year reign of W Bush.   We appear to have entered the "Hitler"  decade of American politics:  Prior to 2000,  I do not recall any US President in my time (b. 1959)  being referred to as pernicious in quite so fascist a context.  But this decade,  it was said of W Bush and Obama,  pretty steadily for the past 9 years.  So this is more of the same.  As Hamelt said,  "  I must be cruel only to be kind;  so now bad begins, and worse is left behind".
