Oakwood Apartments in Burbank: Home For Celebrities and Now Two Celebrity Deaths

Corey Haim was found dead Wednesday morning of what is being speculated to be a drug overdose in the famous Oakwood Apartment building in Burbank.

Corey Haim was staying with his mother Judy in the apartment building, which is also the same building where singer Rick James died in 2006. According to Wikipedia, Rick James died from pulmonary and cardiac failure and was under the influence of numerous drugs when he died. However, none of the drugs in his system were found to be at life threatening levels.

Oakwood Apartments in Burbank: Home to the Stars

The apartment building is known for housing many famous celebrities as it is so close to Warner Bros, Universal, and Walt Disney Studios, they will often house there stars there on a short lease as the apartments are furnished and there is 24 hour security.

As seeing-stars reports, some of the celebrities that have stayed there over the years include Neil Patrick Harris, Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson, and Conan O'Brien. Some rockers have also been in residence:

Not everyone who stays at these apartments are famous, but there have been cast and crews from films such as Forrest Gump, Les Miserables, Congo, Star Trek and Sister Act.

Aside from the apartments, there is also swimming pools, a hair salon and a dry cleaner among other amenities.
