Obama musical "Hope!" will premiere this weekend in Frankfurt, Germany, on January 17.

In the musical "Hope!", you will see the singing and dancing versions of Barack Obama, John McCain, Hilary Clinton, and Sarah Palin. Obama will be played by Jimmie Wilson, who was cast in the lead role in Sisterella, a musical produced by Michael Jackson.

The American writer and composer Randall Hutchins said he got the idea for "Hope!" since the beginning of Obama's electoral campaign:

"I found the atmosphere exciting and that was my inspiration. People hoped change would result in a better life. It was a  beautiful, very social time."

The story started 20 years ago when Obama was a community organizer in Chicago.

As well as charting Obama's political career, the plot follows a group of residents in an apartment-sharing community. There is a politically disillusioned unemployed Puerto Rican, an ultra conservative widow of German origin and a committed African-American political activist.

The event organizers stressed that the Obama musical is not being idealized, and "in no way does 'Hope!' show Obama as a saint."
