Normally I'm not one for rallies. But, though I've known for months I've wanted to vote for Obama, due to his stance on issues that are near and dear to me and those I love, his diplomacy, his smart choice ov VP, etc, I did feel he was a bit aloof. I admit having gotten a bit more excited about him as the weeks go on, since the opponent's numbers are slipping a bit and I feel like he really could win this! So, I attended the rally, partly because I wanted to see what he would say to my town, to me. And partly because it was just an exciting opportunity. :)
And, it was, in a word, incredible. I am really proud of him. He seems to be a thoughtful, intelligent, diplomatic, well-rounded, totally with it, and still personal man. I like him. I respected him before and wanted him to win, but I didn't necessarily feel much of a connection to him as a person. For some this isn't important, and it certainly wouldn't have been a make or break situation for me, but I am so, so glad I got the chance to see and hear him in person.
