Obama Spending Proposals Costly, Lacking Details by BMCWrites

The first few paragraphs of a New York Times article yesterday detail the experiences of some customers of FreeCreditReport.com. In short, people are being fooled by the company’s jingle lyrics (see this video) into thinking the company’s services are free. Only later do they learn the services are not free at all. Reminds me of the tactics being employed by Barack Obama.

The presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee has been offering hope to and promising change for all Americans — in exchange for their votes, of course. And, in much the same way as the FreeCreditReport.com ads fail to mention that their service costs money, the presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee fails to mention the exorbitant costs that will be accompany his campaign-trail proposals.

According to an amendment introduced March 12, 2008, by Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CO), an Obama presidency will cost Americans dearly.

Specifically, Allard maintains, Obama has offered at least 188 campaign proposals that would add up to at least $300 BILLION in new annual spending at a five-year costs of more than $1.4 TRILLION. Of the 188 new spending proposals, the $300 billion price tag only covers 111 proposals. There are another 77 proposals with unknown cost estimates that will add billions more to this number.
