OBAMANIA! KENYAN GIRLS SWOONING OVER A NEW FETISH IDOL

American Presidential elections are over and Americans,I believe are getting ready to build their nation anew. Not here in Kenya where President elect has remote ancestry roots! Kenyan girls are pestering their mates to make babies as soon as posible so that they can build a new tribe called OBAMA.

In one of my hanging joints in Nairobi,a young presumably married(sic!) couple was loudly haggling over the name of their no where to be seen baby boy judging by the cocktail stemlike waistline of the agitated girl." We must include the two names but Barack can be Barry!" the girl pestered the hapless young man who now looked quite embarrassed to realise that other patrons were following their supposedly private palaver. The girl was quite unruffled by the equally embarrassed audience when she decided to surmise with finality by proclaiming loudly to anyone who was interested; I don't care what you think about having this baby outside marriage but it should come on November 4th next year! " We can make it on February 14th next next year if you won't be very busy!"

I don't know what was going on inside that young man's head but I can swear that such ultimatums are a killjoy recipe in any meaningful relationship.

There is also the case of the Kenyan government declaring a holiday immediately after Obama win and by twist of uncanny hard luck,there was a full night's black out after a very heavy down pour that is superstitiously associated with good luck after a major event like the win of our distant son.
People on the following day began whispering in the buses and offices that it was a conspiracy to ensure that Men got home early to their wives and girlfriends to make new babies who would become Presidents in some distant land later on.

Whether this conspiracy is true or not,the results will be clearly here with us within the next 9 months to the day!

All these developments have a lopsidedness that is very peculiar. Men are feeling very impotent at a time when they are supposed to rise to the occasion and help in making future presidents because they have a sneaking feeling that their girls are secretly fantasising on a different man in this new found mission to populate this country with copycat Obama's.

This has stolen the thunder from the proud sons of Kenya who would otherwise be feeling great that one of their very own has risen to be the most powerful man on earth,confirmed American citizenship not withstanding. Its like our kenyan girls are saying; AMERICA,HERE WE COME! Who will make kenyan men feel 'total men' again?
