Octomom Nadya Suleman on Oprah
Octomom Nadya Suleman will appear on Oprah today, April 20th. Suleman, who has become a household name after giving birth to Octuplets last year. The oft-maligned mother of fourteen (Suleman had six children before giving birth to the octuplets) probably didn't help her popularity, as she often appeared in over her head when it came to raising so many children on her own.

Suleman even admits to Oprah that her pursuit of having additional children was 'childish'.
Suleman explained to Winfrey that she was, "caught-up in a childish desire to have more children" to compensate for being an only child. She was using the children to "fill a void."

Suleman also addressed offers from adult entertainment companies to do porn, saying that she would never ever do an adult movie and that the offers were an 'insult to her as a mother'.
Oprah's crew ventured to Suleman's home --which may yet be taken away from her due to payment issues -- to see how the Octomom handled raising 14 children. It was shown that Suleman hires three nannies to work during the day and spends $1000 dollars a week on food to feed the family.
During the segment, Suleman often looks bewildered by all the chaos, and at one point cannot find one of her children, and struggles to keep track of where all of her children are.
At one point, Oprah asks Suleman if she has ever thought of giving up some of the children to adoption, in hopes of securing them a better upbringing. Suleman says she will do everything in her power not to let that happen.
Suleman goes on to tell Oprah that she never realized her 'selfish' choice would lead to the media frenzy, and that she regrets having to use the media in order to take care of her children. During the interview, Suleman thanks Oprah for allowing her to tell her side of the story.
"I thank you [Oprah] for finally allowing me to tell the truth."
