Olivia Wilde Graces Cover of Marie Claire's August issue

As part of her "Cowboys & Aliens" movie promotions, Olivia Wilde lined up the cover gig for the August 2011 issue of Marie Claire magazine.

Coming ahead of her film's July 29th release date, the "House" hottie posed for a glamorous spread taken by Tesh while chatting about topics including as her passion to help others.

Of her desire to get people involved in giving back as early as possible, Miss Wilde said, "I'm really interested in making philanthropy accessible to younger people. The idea of volunteering and participating is not reserved for rich, older people or a luxurious position in life. I worked really hard for Obama, but when the campaign ended, people stopped participating. My passion is getting younger generations to participate - which is selfish, in a way, because giving is the path to happiness. Every time I come back from Haiti, I'm really happy. If we can make giving cool, can make volunteering cool, we can start some kind of revolution."

The 27-year-old actress continued to voice her hope that people's interest will shift from the tabloid world to more important matters, as she explained, "I'd like to refocus everyone's attention away from the Kardashians and onto Doctors Without Borders or aid workers." She added, "Let's redefine scandal. Scandal is not who so-and-so is dating. Scandal is 1.2 million people living in tents in Haiti."

Fitting in a workout after a long holiday weekend, Olivia Wilde was spotted hitting the gym in Studio City, CA on Tuesday (July 5).

The “Tron: Legacy” star looked a bit exhausted after her sweat session as she headed to her car while rocking a baby tee that read “Honey Badger Don’t Care.”

Unfortunately for the actress, she spent too much time in the gym - as she found a parking ticket on her vehicle upon her return.

In other news, ever since she parted ways with her now ex-husband, Ms. Wilde has been rumored to be dating guys like Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, and Justin Timberlake.

Last week, a celebrity news site claimed Olivia went on a date with actor Chris Pine, but she quickly tweeted the truth, as she wrote, "Strange to hear I was on a date at a restaurant I've never been to. But I trust my doppleganger [sic] had a blast. Hope she doesn't rob any banks."

Three days earlier, the actress was again spotted keeping up on her figure as she made a trip to the gym in Los Angeles on Saturday (July 2).

27-year-old Olivia showed off her inner-hippie while donning a Grateful Dead t-shirt and black tights as she and a gal pal took to the fitness center for the holiday weekend workout.

In related news, Miss Wilde happens to be featured in the new copy of the Los Angeles Times magazine - in which she recalled an experience during her regular trips to Haiti on behalf of Artists for Peace and Justice ever since the Caribbean country was leveled by a massive earthquake in 2010.

She told, "I was crouched outside this cholera clinic, sitting on a cinder block with my phone, [about] to help hand out rice at a refugee camp and figure out how our students can build more classrooms. It was hard for me to be on the ball during that call, but I had to remember that acting is actually my job. Whenever I want to say, ‘F–k Hollywood,’ I have to remember that the reason I am even useful in Haiti is because I have a job here.”

In the article, Olivia also received kind words from her "The Change-Up" director, David Dobkin, who firmly said that she is “going to blow up. She doesn’t just fulfill a role. She’s smart. She’s cutting-edge. She is her own thing. I feel like I’m looking at another Faye Dunaway, breaking big.”
