Olympic Concert Lineup Madness – Deadmau5
Just three days removed from the Alexisonfire incident at Live City Yaletown in downtown Vancouver, Canadian musical phenomenon Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, was set to perform. This would be the only concert Deadmau5 would be performing within the Olympic span, therefore the venue was expected to be at maximum capacity and the Live City staff was alerted to react to any kind of situation.
Recognizing the calamitous incident caused by a group of boisterous fans on Tuesday, the Live City staff had decided to shut the gate once the capacity of the park had been reached to prevent any further entrances. According to the head of the Live City Vancouver group on Facebook, this would also greatly reduce the frustration from the people waiting needlessly in line when the venue had already filled.
Indeed, the long anticipated Deadmau5 concert did not disappoint. The venue reached full capacity four hours before the event had gone under way.
As for the people who have yet to experience the free Olympic concert atmospheres, there is still one more week to go. Much anticipated bands such as Marianas Trench and Classified are scheduled to play over the next week, so be sure to follow the concert schedules and mark your calendars!
