Oprah Ending Show in 2011 To Focus on Oprah Winfrey Network

Oprah Winfrey has announced that she is ending the The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011. Winfrey plans to focus her time on starting her own cable network. A spokesperson for Winfrey's Harpo Productions confirmed that Oprah will announce the end of her show on the Friday, Nov. 20 broadcast of the Oprah Winfrey show.
Winfrey will now set her sights her own TV network, the Oprah Winfrey Network, which is slated to debut in 2011.
During the show's 23-year run, The Oprah Winfrey Show became the most popular daytime talk show in syndication and became a major cultural force.
