Oprah Rigs Votes Against Zach Anner? Some Critics Think So

There Are Some Rumors Going Around That Oprah Has Rigged the Vote Against Popular TV Show Contestant Zach Anner
Zach Anner's video audition to host his own TV show on the Oprah network has 3,626,753 votes at the time of publication, and while he was in the lead for the competition, he now appears to be in second place behind a contestant named Dr. Phyllis who has 4,192,987 votes at the time of publication.
This has led to some questions about whether the voting system is rigged. On June 23 the trend of 'Oprah hates the handicapped' appeared on the Internet.
Some of the comments on Zach's video read:
I voted for Zach and he didn't get one! WHY?! I think something is wrong with the voting system as my vote did not get counted! WE LOVE YOU ZACH!
my votes aren't showing up either : ( but they do whenever i try voting on anyone elses
But other comments are in favor of Oprah saying she would never do this:
I know there have been a lot of rumours going around that Zach, my absolute favourite, is beeing rigged against by Oprah. Well, the Oprah known to me couldnt possibly do that. The Oprah I know is such an overwhelmingly and compassioned person, standing for the benefits enlightement and humanity brought to us. Oprah would NEVER let someone that talented and inspirated as Zach. In addition, she would never let the opportunity pass to give a wheelchair-fixed person an audience.
No one has released any statement saying there is something wrong with the voting system, and there is no evidence of tampering.
Zach seems to have so many fans and supporters out there that we won't be surprised if he gets his own show regardless of the outcome of Oprah's contest.

We are doing this because Zach got passed by Phyllis in one night. She came right out of nowhere and went into the lead.We will obviously not stand for such injustice.

Exactly right, Anonymous. The rate at which Phyllis is accumulating votes is highly suspicious (around 150 votes a second) and only possible via vote bot or vote-rigging.Also, Phyllis's vote button is coded differently from any of the other contestants'. Some people are musing that she's getting ten votes for every one actually cast for her.

This the truth Zach , It’s unfortunate however that the votes were rigged with voting software to skyrocket him to 2 million votes overnight the vote mods are simply balancing everything after the flood of macro votes.In all honesty, someone should tell the /b/tards that macro votes are hurting him so no one could get ahead of him. Every ones knows that 4chan and Riddick, Diggs spike your votes and commits up last Saturday nite from 4800 votes to over 2million votes and blog your video and those fake votes #, commits so everyone will vote for him to make it look good. So everyone is jumping on your bandwagon. Sorry Zach for these guys trying to help you but they are hurting you. It’s unfair to you Zach and all the other contestants that are working very hard to get their videos noticed. But to cheat to get on top and get disappointed is sad. We have all the Info check below and sent it to all the right people. Its about to be a bad ass Storm for you guys

The difference is, the macroing of votes for Zach were made by people who WANTED to vote for him. The votes for the Phyllis gal are being made by ALTERING THE RULES.

You are full of rubbish! I watched myself personally as my vote never got counted! I clicked and refreshed the page, but nothing changed. Meanwhile Dr Syphilis gets over 2000 votes per minute and then all of a sudden around 10pm it comes down to just 3-5 a minute. I don't need no mysteries. Oprah hates the handicapped.

The reason I and many others suspect foul play in this contest is that Phyllis received about 600,000 votes within an hour this morning. Every time you refreshed the page, she'd have 20,000 more votes every minute -- while Zach's votes were actually going *down*. Accumulating votes at that rate is impossible without rigging or cheating the system.If Zach got first place in the votes, and then Oprah chose Phyllis, she'd be accused of "hating the disabled." But if Zach is in second place, Oprah can just say, "I chose the person with the most votes!" It's a devious ploy.

i totally agree with you! shes rich enough to hire some ppl to set up some software that could rig the votes, and she probably thinks that if she chooses zach, then not enough ppl will tune in to watch his show, therefore making oprah lose money. and no one wants to watch some "behind the scenes teacher reality show". i know for a fact that A LOT of ppl would watch zac's show. and also earlier i was watching phyillis's vid, and the votes jumped over 100,000 when i refreshed the page! and for zach's, the vots actually went DOWN. i mean, wtf?

Hey Mr.X, dumbass, just because he was on Digg and Reddit doesn't mean the votes were rigged in his favor, it fucking means that he became more popular and more liked than this Dr.SyPhyllis bitch and got more votes. Yeah, sure, some people probably used macros and scripts and such. But I don't think horribly rigging Zack's voting system and giving Dr.Phyllis, someone who literally no one knows more than a million votes in compensation for the "macroing and rigging" as you call it is fair at all, and it's completely uncalled for. Of course Opera would want another generic bland talk show to fucking crowd the airwaves, GO ZACH!!!!

@ mr x,if the rules were broken one way shouldn't it just be smart to remove XXXX amounts of votes for zach instead of giving XXXXX to dr phil-lys? I know many of my friends have LEGITIMATELY voted for zach a ton of times it seems ridiculous. I still think its sick that oprah is doing this against this man and she should feel ashamed... just my $.02

@Mr Xyou don't "level out" a competition, you either remove the forged votes or you increase EVERYONE'S votes by x. The organization of this competition showing preference for a *single* contestant is immoral.I for one voted for Zach. He is funny, inspirational and has a brightness and honesty to him that is rare on television these days.

Open the page up in two browsers, refresh a few times if necessary, and compare results. You'll probably notice that it fluctuates up and DOWN. Voting doesn't work like that unless it's rigged.

Zach may have had voting machines running for him as early as saturday but they were set up by a third party that has little to gain from him winning the competition while Phylis obviously has some program currently working for her that was probably set up by Oprah who has quite a bit to gain or lose from the outcome of this contest. if Oprah didn't want voting bots to be a factor in this contest she shouldn't have put it on the internet and instead should have just had auditions where she would be free to choose the who she really wanted instead of cheating a young man with a physical disability and the many people that support him

I think Oprah has better things to do than rig this contest. Even if Zac gets votes, it doesn't mean she has to give him a show, it just means he'd be part of the reality show competetion. why would Oprah care? Get real. You guys are paranoid.

we care because he's one of the few people that actually deserves a break, and has worked hard to break into the entertainment industry. unlike this dr.phyllis character that deserves nothing because she cannot put together a proper sentence. the fact of the matter is that every vote that zach anner recieved he got because he was genuinely popular. you don't get on digg and spread around twitter and facebook for anything other than two reasons; either you're a train wreck or you're talented, and zach is no train wreck.

Oprah is a human being and being a human she has the ability to be as corrupt as any other especially when she is in the state of being loved so much and being deemed incredibly compassionate. Of course she is rigging this contest because she is most liekly to get away with it because so many simple minded people believe that her compassion makes her simply unable to do something like this. People need to realize that she is taking advantage of everyone and she is just as corrupt as anyone else.

I agree. Oprah is going to want the outcome to be exactly as she wants it. She has the power and the money to make it happen too. That people blindly love her, trust her, and so is all the more reason there should be an investigation. (p.s. and she should also stop putting out self help/diet books.....just one look and any person with common sense should see she is a mess)
