Hello, DJM.  As upsetting as it is when these tragedies happen, we must not be ruled by our emotions.  Let us not turn our nation into a battleground where our children will live under Marshall Law.  We must choose to be non-violent revolutionaries!  Consider the words from one of my heroes:

Let no man pull you so low that you hate him

Always avoid violence

If you sow the seeds of violence in your struggle, unborn generations will reap the whirlwind of social disintegration.  ~ Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I know what it feels like to lose a loved one to police misconduct, but my family is trying to work out our justice quest peacefully, despite much opposition.  What happened to Oscar is so sad, so horrifying, so unjust.  The officer is under arrest now, I understand.  Let's just give the system a chance to handle this.  It will be better that way, but we must never stop being watchful of the progress of this officer's case.  We don't want another courtroom travesty of justice like the Sean Bell case.
