P. Diddy Gave Son a $360,000 MayBach, but How Much for Haiti?
P. Diddy threw his son Justin Dior a massive sixteenth birthday party, and gave him $10,000 cash gift and a new $360,000 silver Maybach luxury sedan with a uniformed driver. The $10,000 Diddy gave to his son went straight to Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Foundation.
On Twitter, we already see polarized reactions. Some said that the $10,000 was only a gesture to offset the guilt, and more were upset with the fact that a 16-year-old would get a $360,000 car when he can't even drive. The difference between the donation and the price of Maybach is 35 times. Others think it's great that his son donated the $10,000 cash to Haiti.
With all fairness, P. Diddy has been very out spoken since Haiti's earthquake. He urged the hip-hop community to donate money to Haiti for relief efforts, and praised Wyclef Jean for his Haiti Yele Foundation and the work they have done. P. Diddy appeared on the Hope for Haiti Now 2 hours Telethon to help raise fund. On his video blog, he talked about his compassion for people of Haiti.
What remains unclear is how much P. Diddy personally donated to Haiti. A P. Diddy's rep told Fox that Justin's $10,000 donation was "not indicative of the total amount his dad has given to the relief effort." When asked about the amount of P. Diddy's personal donation, the rep said, "I don't have that information." Not everyone is comfortable with disclosing how much they donated, but when you decided to give your 16-year-old son a $360,000 car, a reference point is sorely needed.

Why do you berate a celebrity for not publically announcing how much he donates to a charity? You prefer when the celebrity makes it well known on the advice of their PR team in order to boost their public profile. As for the car, he's earned the money he can spend it how he likes, why does an earthquake mean he cannot give his son a present as big as he would have if there wasn't one?
