Padma Lakshmi Pregnant: Endometriosis, What Is It?

Top Chef Padma Lakshmi is pregnant with her first child, and she is calling it a miracle baby because Padma suffers from endometriosis, and she has founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America.

What is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a medical condition that causes the uterus' lining grows around the rest of the body, which can cause infertility and irregular bleeding and make conceiving a child difficult.

"As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi's privacy at this time," the rep continues.

The father's name has not been revealed, but speculation is that Manu Nathan is the dad. Padma was previously married to Salman Rushdie but split after three years of marriage.
