This looks great!
Thanks for posting. I'm delighted to find out about this source of creative "action".
...I just visited the website and felt so sad to see that the last post was in 2002, I think.
It is deeply saddening to see wonderful and creative people burning out early in a creative initiative.
Under the Classical Economics' Land Value Taxation system (Geonomics) everyone would feel free to express their creative impulses without worrying about where their next meal comes from.

WHAT?
Excuse me. the last post was not 2002!! Why would you try to sabotage our site with your comment? Why would you feel the need to pretend to comment in order to advertise your own
agenda
SHAME on you.

Sincere apologies. This was my first visit to what I thought was a truly wonderful website. I'm not sure how I clicked on a page that was last updated in 2002. Naturally, I thought that was the last post.
I guess I thought that this was one of the many wonderful and inspired initiatives that blossomed and died, like so many have over the years.
I am very happy to hear that this site is still active!!! More power to you all!! :)

Thanks for clarifying Mairead. It was upsetting to see such a vibrant site and so much hard work dismissed like that. The PPP is very much alive - I can't see how you got any page from 2002! it wouldn't have been at its current host in 2002, so that is extremely weird.
Thanks to our lovely poets and members who took the time to comment, much appreciated!

fair enough mairead, sorry for snapping ! but it really was a shock...it came over as you pretending to comment in order to make some point about "geonomics" if you see what I mean. I thought it was like spam or something.
PPP, This is a real labour of love, as is the Anthology, so it's important folk don't get the wrong impression about it!
regards

I love what you are doing! and what a weird way to meet some members. :)
As I said, MORE power to you all!
P.s my name is spelled Mairéid - not "aid' :)
at 02:48 on April 1st, 2009
oops, I keep spelling it Maireád, that's what i am used to....
I'm glad people are so supportive, thanks guys! Very appreciated! Hopefully it's clear to all now, and we will get only positive reports back on the wondrousness that is the PPP site.

How could you possible think that my comment was dismissive! to the contrary!
at 02:06 on April 1st, 2009
Oh ffs!
Mairead Sullivan what is your deal? The website is one of the most vibrant on the web, which you'd know if you were a member!!
The Pagan Paeans is a great anthology, the competition is a great idea! God I hope people will not get turned off by that nutter....
I must go now and check out HER page!

Just so you know, I visited the given link, which redirected me to
http://www.anfianna.com/paganpoetrypages/
and, on that page, the last posts are for 2005 and 2002, so I gathered that that was the last time the website was updated.
In my comment, I expressed love for the intention of this website! If you read my comment, without the alarmed knee-jerk response, you will see that I had only positive things to say, and that I expressed sadness that the last post was so long ago. Re. relating this to Geonomics, I interpreted the 'demise' of the website as a sign of the failure of our society to acknowledge the gift of the global commons, which belongs to all of us –equally.
All that aside, I am quite delighted to see so many "representatives" posting to NP.
Let's continue to protect our heritage of joy!

Um, the front page is where that link takes you, there is a huge story about the competition march 26th 2009. with a huge big image of a daffy attached. Can't see anything from 2005, let alone 2002. I agree my reaction was kneejerk but it's too bizarre, how can I know that you're not just spamming. Really do not, honestly, see why you thought it was dormant since 2002. And if you saw a post from 2005, why say 2002?
Sorry, but it was confusing and came across as rude.
As said above it's a really important effort for us, no one would like to see their work dismisssed with such a silly comment. Maybe check properly next time!

2005 or 2002 - it is old! You need to put 2009 on the top - on the first article , which is dated June 19 (no year mentioned)... or remove the dates from the following two front page articles that are dated 2005 and 2002.
Maybe the problem is that I am working with a 30' monitor, so I see the whole page, - not just a few inches down. Your webmaster need to plan for large monitor viewing.
Please re-read my original comment and tell me if you still think it is rude.

The PPP website is fabulous, I've been a member for yonks! Why would someone say it wasn't active?
Bizarre. Maireid Sullivan - what's up with you? spamming other stories like this to "promote" geonomics?
I am looking forward to the Pagan Paeans Anthology. It's wonderful to see something so creative and excellent be independently published. Well done to PPP publications and the PPP website www.paganpoetrypages.com I really hope people go and look. I think you're doing a great job.
Is there any way to report a spam comment? I love NowPublic.

I'm not used to replying to an unverified comment. Ann O'Neill, do yo know anything about Geonomics? If you did, you would know that it is the ULTIMATE poet's friend.
I don't understand why I received so many aggressive responses, – indicating deep, justified frustration with society. Speaking as a poet too, I think Classical Economic theory (often referred to as Geonomics) offers real hope for the future, even tho' it has been suppressed for a 100 years by the vested interests that promote the current Neo-classical economic system we are all struggling under.
A good place to find a variety of info. sources would be the links page at Earthsharing Australia: http://www.earthsharing.org.au/links/
OR, you might like to take a look at this new post right here on NowPublic, on the Geonomics Channel.

I am a recent member and I can definitively say that the site is alive and well.
Let's just stop all the arguing about it and get on with our crafts...
at 05:28 on April 2nd, 2009
definitely Mike!
People care, they care about the site and they care about making the anthology a success. This is what creative people do, this is how they feel - passionately. I for one am proud that members took a moment to come and post here.
To get our story back on track - finally - I hope anyone reading will pop over to the site, have a look, enjoy and join in...it's very much alive and well :)
and there's 20£ voucher up for grabs ;)

Thumbs up Mike!

Esta that's very kind of you and Cypresso thanks so much for your help (re tags as well :) )
The confusions was about Maireíd saying the site was defunct since 2002 which was a lot longer than last year :) But it's been resolved. The main thing is that people like the poetry, thanks so much for your comments - Esta we actually do run Image/poetry comps during the year so it's great that the poetry evoked imagary for you!
The competition closes on 20th April, and the Anthology is launched on May 1st!

That's so nice Esta and Cypresso, you're both very thoughtful!
