Mussoorie: 25 July: A 3 day Painting and Photographic Exhibition cum sale began at the State Bank of India premises here, today, which has been organised by ‘Gurjas’.
The exhibition showcases the works of artists like Threesh Kapoor, Satpal Gandhi, Bhumesh Bharti, Paritosh Narayan and Anjali Thapar.
The work was admired by tourists and art lovers of Mussoorie. The photographs on exhibit were of excellent quality and the composition and theme chosen were impeccable and spoke volumes about the artists. The themes were as varied as the Himalayas and folk women of Uttarakhand. The artist indulgence with water drops was breathtaking. The photograph of the Golden Temple, Amritsar, stood out. The craft of Society of Rural Development was also on display at the exhibition.
The tourists and people of Mussoorie liked the exhibition immensely. Some were of the view that Mussoorie should have its own Art Gallery to showcase such splendid work of art.
Threesh Kapoor and Bhumesh Bharti stated that Uttarakhand had so much beauty and it could be presented aptly through such exhibitions. The Exhibition will go on till 27 July 2008.

The artist of uttarkhand need their own art gallery in Mussoorie to promote their work. The art gallery can be set up in Garhwal Mandal guest house which has a bar.iIt can have one art gallery too.
