Johannesburg: The second One Day International between Pakistan and South Africa has been restricted to 44 overs due to the heavy rainfall and lightning.
The umpires decided to cut off six overs from both side due to the lapse of almost an hour.
The umpires stopped the match after 38.4 over due to the lightning above the ground, followed by heavy rainfall.
The ground staff of the Centurion cricket stadium efficiently cleared the ground from the rain water, thus, enabling the umpires to commence the match.
Soon after the commencement of the match, Saeed Ajmal took his second wicket, sending Abbott to pavilion on six runs. South Africa has now scored 187 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
