People on the streets are talkin. Saying that Palestine is a country.. 120 countries agree. Well lets see what the UN talks about this July 26th...Will Palestine be let onto the list? Will Hamas agree to be peaceful? New Media is right here right now. NowPublic is one place where grassroots action can live and thrive. Thanks for being a part of something so big, so here, so now.  look it up.

Maybe you will sign the petition to admit Palestine into the UN... 418,000 already have

go here to be heard-        http://www.avaaz.org/en/independence_for_palestine_9/?fp

What Israeli leadership does not understand is that doing this will actually be good for Israel. Palestinians will have their own country, and they won't be feeling oppressed or colonized, so that they can go on with their lives and not keep attacking Israel all the time. Very little of any kind of good has come from Palestine being a part of Israel. It's like Sudan, where the North and the South had nothing in common with one another and all they did was kill each other. Let the two go their own ways, there'll be less bloodshed and less bull.

I think you well meaning folks dont have a clue what is going on here. You make the huge assumption that the Palestinian leadership wants a State separate from Israel. In fact it is just the opposite. Gaza is already a mini-Hamas state and look where that has gotten the people. Instead of making all these uniformed statements, I say this with no ill intention, READ the local papers here and search for yourself about what is really going on . There is an agenda to end the Jewish State and if the UN can help them accomplish this goal then why not.

BTW, ishambat, this is no Sudan and the situation here in no way supports that view.
