Paris, France: Mammoth at auction
On april 16, Cristie's auction house sold the skeleton of a prehistoric mammoth for $420,200. 12.5 feet tall and 16 feet long, the 15,000 years old siberian mammoth was the star of the auction.
Other paleontological curiosities were on sale, including wonderful fossils.
