Paris Hilton to Be Charged for Cocaine Possession
Celebutante Paris Hilton was charged with felony cocaine possession after an August 28 bust, according to TMZ.
Paris Hilton was in a black SUV that was pulled over by police on the Las Vegas strip. After noticing "a strong smell of marijuana", the officer on the scene searched the vehicle, instantly recognizing Paris Hilton, who was travelling with boyfriend Cy Waits.
As a crowd gathered to watch the spectacle, Hilton asked the cop if she could use the bathroom in the nearby Wynn Hotel. The officer said yes, and, in the bathroom, Hilton opened her purse, where the officer saw, along with prescription medication and cigarette rolling papers, what appeared to be a bag containing .8 grams of cocaine. Paris Hilton said it wasn't hers.
Paris Hilton is being represented by attorney David Chesnoff, and has been released without bail.
This is the second time Hilton as used the "it wasn't mine" defense; she was apprehended for marijuana possession at the 2010 World Cup, and released without charge.
A guilty verdict in this case carries a sentence of up to four years in prison.
At the hotel, Paris told the cop she needed lip balm so the cop handed Paris her purse: "As she began to open it, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand."
The cop also says ... inside the purse was a "broken tablet of Albuterol" -- a prescription medication used to control wheezing. And cops say they found Zig Zag wrappers ... commonly used to roll joints.

All the money/things that is suppose to make her a happy person at her disposal yet she cant seem to face life without a drug. I guess money and things are not a guarantee to happiness.
