When Paris Hilton Was Arrested For Cocaine Possession She Said the Purse She Was Carrying Was Not Hers, Meaning the Drugs Could Not Be Either

However, as RadarOnline reports, in mid-July Paris tweeted a photo of her new Chanel purse and it appears to be the same one she was carrying the night she was arrested.

Paris said she borrowed the purse from a girlfriend and that she did not know the cocaine was inside it at all.

One photo from the night of the arrest contains an out of focus image of the purse, but it is clear that it is a Chanel, with the distinctive interlocking Cs. The clasp in the front of the purse also appears to be the same.

Another photo taken July 25 also shows Paris carrying the purse.

When Paris was arrested she told officers:

that $1,300 in cash and a credit card in the purse were hers, but "several cosmetic items in the purse were not hers."

If Paris is convicted in this case she could face anywhere from one to four years in prison, but police did not give her a blood test at the time of her arrest, which experts say may ultimately help her defense.
