Who was Jack The Ripper?
WHO WAS JOHN JAY?
There is no "J" Street in Washington D.C. because John Jay, an American politician, statesman, revolutionary, diplomat, and jurist also considered one of the "founding fathers" of the United States.was disliked by his own members of government so when the streets of Waashington D.C. were named the letter "J" was purposely left out to show the dislike towards Jay.
John Jay (December 12, 1745 – May 17, 1829) served in the Continental Congress as President. He was a minister (ambassador) to Spain and France, during the American revolution helping to fashion American foreign policy and to secure favorable peace terms from the British and French. A co-writer of the Federalist Papers along with Alexander Hamilton and James Madison. Jay also served on the U.S. Supreme Court as the first Chief Justice. Jay like Eliot Spitzer was also elected Governor of New York State. A leading opponent of slavery and the slave trade in New York. He failed in his first & second attempt to pass emancipation legislation in 1777 and in 1785, but succeeded in 1799.
John Jay College recently received one million dollars from Patricia Cromwell who's depiction of the "Jack the Ripper Murders" is as realistic as her anglo counter-part J.K. Rollins of "Harry Potter" fame. There is no "J" Street in Washington D.C.
