Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, who first appeared together in Jamon Jamon in 1992, got married in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas. The search for Colton Harris-Moore may have thrown people off the scent who may have otherwise noticed the nuptials.

Penelope Cruz has previously dated Matthew McConaughey and Tom Cruise, and has been seeing Javier Bardem since 2007, when they were working on Vicky Christina Barcelona, for which Bardem sported a far more sociable hairdo than he had in No Country for Old Men.

The Spanish couple who have starred in three movies together have always kept their romance out of the public eye, despite being dogged with engagement rumours.

In a rare show of public affection, Bardem - who recently revealed that he is set to star in Glee - dedicated his Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival dedicated his prize to his new wife.
