NP Rank:
Perceptions, Cultural and other wise need to be understood!
Human Sociology can be a funny thing at time or maybe even all the time. Now I was raised in a certain way or maybe I let my self to be impregnate in a certain way, that in my case would be of course my Family wish where of German stock and my surrounding wish was primarily North West African with a touch of French in there. Maybe due to the Colonial power leaving it’s mark on North West Africa and not letting go. Even though all those Countries where independent or about to as I was Born in Cameroon. France tried to hold on and maintain its power and control over North West Africa. As I travelled the World and lived in many Countries, I realisedthere was no absolute right nor wrong in any culture or religion, yet there are always the little things, which are better with in one place or worth for that matter. Of course, there are also the unknown that cannot really be defined and could be of benefit or contribute to the demise of a civilisation; only time will be able to tell us! Now the point being that I was tough and accepted those principals making some of them my own and realise now that I am in Japan learning to adopted a new culture to my repertoire that some of what is normal for me and perceived in a certain way can be perceived in exactly the opposite way some where else. The Japanese bow to every one and for every thing and that is there way to greet and show respect where as I was always tot to stand up strait, look the next person strait into there eyes and to speak up so all can hear me; for there shall be no secrets. I was also tough to shake hands firmly and with determination not showing any weakness nor fear something that here would be offensive and brutal. I still hear my Grand Fathers words; you shall not bow before any one nor any thing. You are free and cannot let others enslave you better it is to die than to be a slave! Now I do bow and show my respect asbest as I can, how ever it is not easy for me to do and somehow maybe a good lesson to be learned. There are no absolutes and every gesture and every word has several meanings, depending where and when it is used!

Well said and this is a Good story to be heard..although i got bored reading this article.. You should add some more "spices" to attract more viewers to comment..^^
Viewing your profile is not the main concern of the readers. Its the thought of giving them wiser time to spend reading the article and feel the news your writing.^^
Im not criticising you but rather take this comment a good start of communication and a wider connection indeed..^^
More power!
PS.
I would like to praise that JAPANESE are kind but somehow, we had a traumatic and tragic history caused of the world war..^!^.. and many of our countrymen were assassinated and ladies were abducted and abused(RAPED)..sad history

We all have to learn from History and what we Human have done wrong as well as what we have done right, I do not see us as being Japanese, German, French, Korean or Philipine, but as Human race, that has done great things and Horrible once as well, almost every nation, Clan, Religion, and so on has done wonderful things as well as terible once. We need to learn and let the past be the past or we may destroy the future! Yes the past needs to be remembered as a lesson not as hate nor anger or we will never be able to break free of this circle of madness! Be well and take care for now!

pinkberry143, thanks for your analysis int'l writing. I would like you do the same for me, if you have time pick an article. More power, chapters I understand, your generation shoots out of the hip, OK. Now some culture explainer. As this writer says, he has some ties to Europe. In Europe, especially France, people read many books this style, personal philosophy (I agree with chapters).
A great Idea comes often in one flow, in that case the rules are not important. 350 views up to now, I can only dream of this. So something touches our heart, it's somehow revolutionary that we find all together on the globe on NP, getting us to know by the comment tool, getting a message, you have an answer. I appreciate your effort for style, come back with an answer. It is worth to learn each others priorities, to create the world "Social Internet" (if someone finds a better name, pls tell) Enjoying the dialogue on a grey sunday afternoon. I will have a tea now with a cake. Would like to invite YOU. Send me a SMS compact style.....

Paschen, I like this story. "Social Internet" what you describe Paschen. The living french philosopher Atali was writing the book, The Nomads, in which you will find yourself ". He stated in all history progress came from the Ideas of people travelling around the planet, seeing something valuable, bringing it to the next place of the voyage, the Nomads. The trouble starts, as the people who have always been here are resistant against change. The man, who was exposed to different cultures, with cold showers between, convinces finally by his lifestyle the others, to try the new thing. That's how progress happens.
We had the microelectronic revolution creating advanced multitasking-multiuser personalities. The rest stays unilateral, we see the results. The "Social Internet" bridging cultures, we missed to develop. You are just starting with your lyrik autumn style to bring us on the way. As pinkberry143 stated, give us at least pls. the comfort of 3 chapters. We are not yet ready for this cup of culture concentrate, what is normal for you.
Great writing, I enjoyed it, someone taking the risk talking about his own development. More difficult than to write what others make wrong. Paschen remember what I told you. The moment people critisize you, that's the moment they take you for serious. We want to be part of your adventure; need your experience, how to survive in this difficult times.
