Perez Hilton has now posted a new statement about the matter on his website.

There is evidence of Perez Hilton being assaulted on video circulating the internet today, (although it's hard to see), but not everyone is on Hilton's side.

GLAAD, The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation organization, that Hilton used to work for, issued a statement that they are upset that Hilton used the fa**ot word against Black Eyed Pea's frontman Will.I.Am and they want Hilton to aplogize for it.

GLAAD stated:

"We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this anti-gay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story.

For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, 'The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,' is incredibly dangerous.

It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes."

However, Perez has responded with his own statment and it seems he's not backing down;

"I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent. While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you. I am just very fortunate and grateful that nothing more serious happened to me."

Toronto police have now arrested Polo Molina, the Black Eyed Peas manager for the assault, but some others are still taking this opportunity to speak their mind about the celebrity blogger, most recently singer John Mayer has taken to his twitter account to discuss the incident.

In a sample of his tweets, John said:

@perezhilton’s video statement is so long that by the end of it his cut healed.

I love that @perezhilton uses his cellphone to log on to twitter to post a tweet to ask his followers to call the police for him.

Perez Hilton has responded on his own twitter account:

@johncmayer That's real funny! Ha ha! And I'm sure you also think I "deserved" to get hit!
@johncmayer Dude, I get it. I GET IT. But it's not fucking funny to me. Karma would be me losing my site and going bankrupt or what have u.

With his final word:

@johncmayer I'm not human! I'm a monster! Good night, John Mayer.

Perez has been active on his twitter account since then, but John Mayer has not.

Perez also posted a link to a previous news story where the Black Eyed Peas were involved in a fight in 2006:

At least one person used an IRON BAR in the fight, said to have followed a petty row between club security and the band’s guards.
One onlooker said: “It was a bloodbath.” It is not thought band members Will, Taboo, Apl and Fergie were hurt.

Perez called it their 'history of violence'
