Pete Doherty Arrested Again, Seriously: Twice in One Week

Pete Doherty was arrested again for suspicion of driving under the influence, seriously. With this latest charge Doherty has now officially been arrested twice in one week.

Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drugs. The Babyshambles singer was pulled over in the early hours of Thursday morning for driving erratically after leaving a gig in Gloucester. The singer is being held by Gloucestershire police and is due to be questioned today.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire police said: "At approximately 12.30am officers on patrol in Eastgate Street saw a car being driven erratically, it continued down Barton Street and was stopped in Derby Road. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, possession of drugs and failure to stop for police, he remains in custody at this time."

Doherty seemed to be making strides in his arrest record prior to this week, not being arrested since December 2008, but after his arrest Monday for allegedly using narcotics at 30,000 feet and then the latest charge things aren't looking so high for Doherty, even though he is apparently feeling so.
