Pete Doherty Gets Higher than Ever Before
Pete Doherty was fined upon arrival in Geneva, Switzerland by Swiss authorities for getting higher than ever before. Doherty was allegedly charged and fined for using drugs during flight.
Per London's Daily Mail, flight attendants discovered the 30-year-old Doherty intoxicated in an onboard lavatory and took him back to his seat, at which point they also found a hypodermic needle, prompting them to alert Swiss police, who detained him at the gate.
"We were contacted by the captain of a BA flight and a passenger was controlled by police. He was charged—but I cannot say what with. He paid a fine and was allowed to go," a police spokesman told the newspaper.
No word on the amount of the penalty. The Babyshambles frontman went on to play a gig later that night at the Neuchâtel Open Air Festival.
This incident, although not uncommon for the Babyshambles' and Libertines' frontman, was his first run in with the law since April of 2008. I guess give him some credit...
