Sales of Peter Kay's DVDs have now surpassed the ten million mark, confirming him as the world's best-selling comedian.

The Bolton-born comic, 38, recently released The Tour That Didn't Tour DVD. Recorded during his most recent run of gigs, sales reached 1.2 million, making him the world's fastest-selling stand-up.

He also has DVDs of previous outings, including Live at the Top of the Tower, as well as That Peter Kay Thing and Phoenix Nights.

Kay also achieved success with his TV parody Britain's Got The Pop Factor… and Possibly a new Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice, which aired in 2009.
