Peterson Perp Walk: Former Bolingbrook Cop Drew Peterson, Suspect in Missing Wife Case, Arrested on Weapons Charges

Drew Peterson, the former cop whose fourth wife, Stacy is missing, put some more swagger in his saunter as he was booked into jail on felony weapons charges. Peterson bonded out quickly, but the charges gave police a chance to send Peterson a message.

The complete text of that message isn't yet known, but many are wondering if this isn't only the first note in other forthcoming charges. Peterson, a suspect in Stacy's disappearance, also is under suspicion in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. That death, formerly ruled an accident, was re-listed as a homicide after Savio's body was autopsied following exhumation. Two autopsies were performed: one official, one by noted expert Dr. Michael Baden at the request of the family.

Both women had told friends and family that Peterson had bragged that, as a cop, he knew how to kill them and get away with it. Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky, says that officials are only harassing his client.

In another bizaare development, Brodsky issued a press release announcing that the discussion forums at findstacypeterson.com had been shut down. The release said ".....the
site has done little to find his missing wife, and instead, had become
a vehicle to spy on him, discuss plans to harass him, and to reveal his
personal comings and goings. 

The site, he says, had intruded on his
personal life and Peterson filed two complaints against the blog--one
with the FBI and one with local authorities."

Stacy Peterson's family and spokespersons deny that Brodsky and Peterson's actions led to the blog closing.  However, the Chicago Tribune has disabled comments on this story on its pages.
