Phish 1996-11-16 Poor Heart
It's time, once again, to kick out the jams: Trey Anastasio's jammiest of Jammy Award-winning jam bands, Phish, is reuniting after a four year hiatus.

The reunion will be brief, however, as the band is only planning to play 3 shows in Hampton, Virginia next March.
Phish is getting back together.

The Vermont-bred jam band, which disbanded in 2004, is planning three dates next March in Hampton, Virginia. A notice posted on the band's Web site says Phish will play March 6, March 7 and March 8, 2009, at the Hampton Coliseum. The Web site says more 2009 dates will be announced later.

A spokesman for the Coliseum, who wouldn't give his name, confirmed the booking.

Phish was among the nation's top touring acts when it called it quits in 2004. The band received a lifetime achievement award at the Jammy Awards last May.

Aww.  I forgot how nerdy they look.  Too bad they are keeping their shows to Vermont, it would have been great to see them at the Gorge again.

My co-worker and I who travel to various shows on occasion have put in requests for tickets and time off from work. We've been looking forward to this for a while.

PHOTO: This is one of my favorite shots. I took it at the Tabernacle in Atlanta GA on 04/26/06. See the rest of the Trey Anastasio Band set here...

These 2 shots were from the boys last appearance at the always incredible Gorge in George Washington. The two night run was incredible as always. The venue and the boys make an incredible combo. There is no other place like it in the U.S. , at least that I have attended.  If you've never been then the next time you get a chance please do. You and your crew will never forget the experience. I've not forgotten my first shows in '99. Tortilla wars with mad glow sticks abound what an experience. After that I made a promise that anytime Phish was there I would be too at all costs... The Columbia River Gorge, The hot days, cool nights awesome breezes, cool people, what a freakin' place..... It's worth what ever you have to do to be there and don't forget your Flour Tortillas.

P.S

Stake your tent down or you might lose it like I did my roomies in '99. I found it the morning of the 2nd show about 100 yards away. I balme it on pre-show goodies and excitement..
