Phony Faintings At Obama Rallies - MEDVED :: MAXINE
Today, during the second hour of the Michael Medved show, Michael alleged that he suspected that faintings had been staged at at least six Obama campaign rallies. He felt that after seeing and hearing several video's showing the faints he suspected that they were staged because:
1) The "faint" would always happened next to the stage.
2) Barack Obama showed calm and stated the same words over and over in each of the six occurrances - "Make some space for her. Make some space for her."
3) The "faintee" was ALWAYS a woman.
4) Each of the occurrences (6) when shown together all felt the same and process like.
We, at MAXINE would like to see what Michael Medved had seen ... we were only left with Michael's radio account and the playing of the audio of a recent Obama campaign stop from Santa Barbara, California.
We are waiting to hear (and, hopefully see) more.

Theatrics
The
Dori Monson Show (Seattle) - Producer Phil writes - Friday, February 15, 2008 @
5:23pmA Wall Street Journal writer, James
Taranto , has uncovered a hilarious and puzzling coincidence at 5
different Sen. Obama campaign speeches over the last few months, including the
recent speech in Seattle.Dori and listeners have found one other
Sen. Obama incident posted on YouTube where a person near the stage faints. Sen.
Obama responds to each incident with the same routine and phrases.
Is it
phoney, orchestrated, manufactured campaign theatrics or is it merely
physiological coincidence? ... You be the judge.

Edmund Jenks, I like this story. It's good stuff. I would really like to find out if the faintings were real or staged - though they do sound staged I admit.

Yes! I'm surprised about Medved's revelation. I am surfing but havn't found the evidence I need just yet.
This is a great "Crowd Powered" project.

Never Fear! Obamaman is here to save the day!

So, he showed calm demeanor and some concern... is the insinuation that they were staged by his side, or someone sabotaging his speaches? What point does it serve, either way? I'm not for one second thinking that someone is trying to make him look like a Beatle... :o)

The insinuation here is that the faintings were staged by his side and the purpose is to show that Obama, who has very little experience to point to, is calm under fire. This is somewhat similar to how Hillary's campaign tried to make her look calm and confident by spinning the incident where some nut held hostages at one of her campaign spots to make it look like she resolved the situation.
The fact of the matter is that both Hillary's and Obama's campaigns are being built on appearances and they would do whatever it takes to make their candidate look better.

Unless it is proven that the Obama campaign is responsible for hiring 'professional fainters', this would seem to be a non issue.
at 21:47 on February 15th, 2008
Certainly, this is an issue that requires investigation and a response ... this cuts to character. We already know where HE currently stands on - - - substance!

Like liberal blogger Markos Moulitsas said about the Iraq War, "The facts don't matter." Maybe they were instructed to faint, maybe not. Would you put it past a politician to stage such an event?
at 23:00 on February 15th, 2008
There might be some real fainting going on when Hillary wins the nomination for her party.
at 15:36 on February 16th, 2008
Edmund Jenks, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Yes, this issue does go to character. If indeed these faintings are posed, and Obama participates, then he is on the level with fake revival"healers" who have stooges in the audience to "be healed" in order to bilk the audience of contributions while gaining their trust and raising their hopes.

If anyone reading this information wants to prod the MSM outlets to investigate these fainting occurances ... copy this and leave it as a comment to an Obama article.

Last year, a little girl fainted while Arnold Schwartzenneger was making a speech. He paused and walked over to help the little girl. The media loved it (it was even reported on BBC), and couldn't resist saying he was a "real action hero."
Given Obama's love of theatrics and the fact that he has repeatedly used Governor Patrick's speeches as his own, who knows? Maybe someone in his campaign thought he would look like a real hero, calm and collected, if they staged these things? I would not be surprised.

Having just posted a comment wondering about the possibility that Obama might be imitating Schwartzenneger, it just occurred to me that Maria Shriver, his wife, endorsed Obama. She and Ted Kennedy spent a lot of time campaigning for Obama. Obama would have had access to that story first-hand from Maria (it seems like a natural anecdote to bring up while campaigning with someone) and she could have told him about the reaction. When did all of these Obama faintings start, exactly?

Over one year ago.
In fact, he purposely stopped his speech to offer water to someone in the crowd just this past weekend in Kenosha, WI, before the vote! This is a strategy to endear and engender his "Rock Star" image.
Personally, I'm sick of it.
Accomplishments?
"I was MediVac-In-Chief!" ... and, "I handed out a lot of water at rallies!"
