World famous for his death-defying performance/stunts, David Blaine is half way through his dream of hanging upside-down for at least 60 hours. Photos were taken between 9:30 to 11:00 AM. David was given tea, read the morning papers, talked to friends with his cellphone and was later hoisted up for a brief check up by a Doctor. This event is on going in Central Park, New York City and is expected to wrap up tommorrow night with a David doing a "surprise' finale act.

asterix611, fantastic photos. I love the one of David Blaine reading about himself in the paper.

If you read about your upside-down self while upside down, does that make your upside-down self right-side-up?

Great photos. This stunt sounds incredibly intense, but claims are now being made that Blaine is, in fact, cheating: http://www.nowpublic.com/culture/david-blaine-big-cheater
Do you agree?

Blaine kind of gets some negative attention, but at least he's entertaining people. I still remember when Michael Jackson said "David Blaine your magic is real and I believe in you!" at some acceptance speech several years ago.
