A photographic exhibition on Japan’s natural world took place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi from May 19-25.

86 large black and white photos chosen from the “Japan-Hidden beauty” collection taken in 1998 by Japanese photographer Kiduo Yahagi are being displayed at the exhibition.

To depict Japan’s natural beauty, photographer Kiduo Yahagi traveled to every corner of the country to give a comprehensive account of the flora and fauna.

The exhibition is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations. The exhibition will give Vietnamese people a better understanding of Japanese culture and society.

The event was co-organized by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism; the Vietnam Fine Art Museum and the Japan Foundation.
