Bonnie T. Barry discovered her art talent as a photographer.

“I am a resident of southern Louisiana, a retired high school English teacher, a writer, and a huge fan of photography ever since my husband gave me my first DSLR camera several years ago.

Thank you for viewing my pictures and for helping me learn about this fascinating field of study. I hope I can mirror, even in a tiny way, some of the beauty of this wonderful world we’re privileged to inhabit. A sense of appreciation and gratitude is the least we can do in response to all that the good Lord has given us. I try to convey that in my images.

Quote: “For those who have faith, the entire universe speaks of the Triune God. From the spaces between the stars to microscopic particles, all that exists refers to a Being who communicates himself in the multiplicity and variety of elements, as in an immense symphony.” Pope Benedict XVI

I hope these humble images I’ve captured add sweet notes of harmony to the universal symphony alluded to in the above words of the Holy Father.”

I was out with my camera this weekend. I have been hearing the consistent sound of a bird when I visit one area of the walk. It was familiar to me, though I am not a birder, so I didn’t know for certain what it was. Given assisted hearing from my device, I was able to zero in with my camera and sound system rolling.

Here, I post 1) Bonnie T. Barry’s spectacular photograph of a cardinal, the bird I heard, 2) my picture of a cardinal, and 3) the video with sound recording.
