"Don't Look Back" by Kenny MacLean

Kenny MacLean, the Scottish born musician and former bass player for Canadian '80s pop band Platinum Blonde has been found dead in his Toronto apartment.

No cause of death has been confirmed. MacLean was 52.

Platinum Blonde has officially confirmed the death of bass player Kenny MacLean with a tribute on their website.

MacLean had attended a CD release party on Friday night in Toronto to celebrate the upcoming release of his third solo album, "Completely."

Police said the veteran musician was discovered collapsed and unresponsive Monday at his Toronto apartment.

The Scottish musician joined Platinum Blonde for their second album, 1985's "Alien Shores," freeing singer/bassist Mark Holmes to focus on lead vocals.

Music is God's gift to man, the only art of Heaven given to earth, the only art of earth we take to Heaven. While those of us here on earth mourn his loss, others are rejoicing to meet him and listen to his songs on the other side.

Rest in Peace Kenny Maclean

Well everything YOU wanted came too FAST

And what is left hides in the PAST

Haunted by some ugly dream

Still everything is what it seems

Everythins is CLEAR

God Bless YOU Kenny

I worked with Kenny many years back cutting hair.  We worked beside each other and he always always had me laughing.  Now i'm crying..crying over you. I was so happy that Kenny's dream of being a professional musician came true for him. I miss you and would have loved to been at the Mod Club friday evening to hear you and see you. You will forever live in my heart...with a brigh moonlight night as you taught me in Scottish. Cheers my friend and ROCK ON!!!
