Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper surprised the audience last night at a National Arts Centre Gala in Ottawa by going onstage and joining cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
He played piano and sang vocals to the Beatles song With a Little Help From My Friends, and got a standing ovation for his performance.
CBC's Evan Solomon, who attended the gala, said Harper's performance stunned and wowed the crowd, and received high praise even from members of opposition parties who were also there for the evening.

Certainly a performance worthy of mention that the man has another side very few witness, though quite apparent the bias media who were heard laughing out loud ridiculing our Prime Minister when airing his performance. One would wonder of media wonks who were laughing at him would fare better when playing and singing in a live venue with millions watching. I doubt the lefty media would be as musically inclined!
Good for our Prime Minister to show Canadians he is not all seriousness, reminiscent of President Bill Clinton who also jammed on live TV with a band, though not as illustrious a show as with Yo Yo Ma!

Funny ya know, if this were Obamaramadalilama sitting down playing the piano and singing, one would be sure the Canadian Liberal media as well as the lefties would be drooling pearl jam necklaces all over each other with Breaking News!!! and plenty of Feel Good SMARMY Hits for 2009, with generous helpings of crotch grabbingly tofu inspired *ss drippings filling their trousers over such an musical accomplishment. But because it is a sitting Canadian Prime Minister who many disagree with, the status quo remains MUM!

For someone who has been long classified as stiff and lacking in humour, by the Liberal leaning media, this has to count as a real triumph. The choice of song was priceless!
