The Forgotten Child

The boy you see sitting on the curb waits for his mother...the forgotten boy.
The little girl you see dancing on stage looks anxiously around for her father...the forgotten girl.
The kids coming home from school excited remembering their mother saying there was a surprise visitor coming over but they see her weeping at the kitchen table she wants to be alone...the forgotten children.
The depressed girl lying in bed wishing it all to end walks slowly down the stairs to an empty house...they left her...the forgotten girl.
The forgotten boys, girls, the forgotten children of the world seem lost and confused.
They wonder if they were unplanned births.
They seem to feel like there is something missing in their lives.
The answer???
Yes, yes there is something missing...there's more to the world than what they know of it.
There is someone out there in the world that wont forget them.
There is a place where they belong, where there are people like them.
People that will tell them, they are not alone anymore.
A place where there are no disappointments, where everyone keeps the promise they made to one another.
They'll find the person who loves them back.
Who won't lie and hurt them...there are good people in the world.
The forgotten child you're not alone anymore...I'm here.

Sleen, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I wasn't sure what was newsworthy in this story. Please review our FAQ or check out our J-Tips for more help.
