Hollywood to Remake a Perfectly Good Action Movie

If there's one action movie that does not need a remake, it's Point Break. However, Alcon Entertainment is doing just that. Kurt Wimmer is writing an updated Point Break script, which will be set in the "world of international extreme sports". Stop banging your head against the keyboard.

In all fairness, Keanu Reeves' portrayal of undercover FBI agent Johnny Utah is a study in doing it wrong, but Patrick Swayze has never been more cool than as Bodhi, the skydiving, ballet-slipper-wearing bank robber who's just, you know, deep like that.

Just go to YouTube and search for "point break skydiving" to see how many people were inspired by the film to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

Fans of the original Point Break took to Twitter to rant against the upcoming remake, as you can see.

Oh, and The Highlander is getting rebooted as well. The original featured Christopher Lambert as the immortal swordsman, and Sean Connery as the most Scottish Spaniard of all time.
