This is your last chance folks, The Police reunion tour is coming to close later this summer.

Thankfully, not will their final gig be a benefit show for arts programming on public television -- the band will also be donating a cool $1 million to planting trees all over New York.

Now that's a good way to re-retire.
A New York City press conference featuring the Police and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg today (May 6) heralds the band's final concert ever, to be held in New York at a date to be announced in August.

This final concert will be a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the production of arts programming for public television stations Thirteen/WNET and WLIW New York. Tickets will be available nationally online via the Thirteen/WNET and WLIW Web sites.

Additionally, Sting and the Police announced that they will contribute $1 million to Mayor Bloomberg's MillionTreesNYC initiative -- a gift the city will match -- to plant trees all over New York City.

More details about the benefit show, including venue and ticket information, will be released at a later date.
