Okay, Harry Potter fans, the wait is over. Pottermore has been revealed.

Pottermore is a free-to-use site (registration required, though) that will feature all new content, written by J.K. Rowling herself, to supplement the Harry Potter world. There will be no new HP stories, but the content will add detail and dimension to existing characters, objects and lore from the Harry Potter series.

Pottermore will also feature the long-awaited Harry Potter e-books, as well as upcoming interactive elements. Pottermore registration opens on July 31, and the site itself goes live in October. Signing up now will get you a reminder email, but not a registration.
