Terry Pratchett spoke at the 2007 National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. He was gracious enough to stay for an extra hour past his 2 hour signing time to make sure everyone in line could get something signed.

Terry Pratchett was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his services to Literature by Trinity College on the same day myself and my friend picked up our Masters. Very friendly and, as you might imagine, a great conversationalist!
