Remember when E! was a news channel that covered all areas of entertainment? At one point they even expanded to style and lifestyle with Joan Rivers rating the dresses that female stars wore on the red carpet and Jules Asner visiting exotic locations and popular nightclubs. Nowadays they are the home to bad reality shows. The main competition to MTV. And if you thought Jersey Shore was ridiculous then wait till you watch Pretty Wild

If you follow celebrity gossip then the name Alexis Neiers may ring a bell. She was arrested last year for allegedly being a member of a Hollywood burglary ring that broke into the homes of many young stars. And the E! cameras were there to capture all the courtroom drama. Only E! gives someone on trial their own show and turns it into a joke.

Neiers is an 18-year-old model (possibly 19 by now) whose mother, Andrea, was a Playboy model in the 1980s. Now she's her manager and homeschool teacher. Yes, that's right. Homeschool teacher. Neiers' older sister is Tess Taylor, a Playboy Cyber Girl. Many male readers are probably familiar with Miss Taylor and her, um, body of work. Neiers also has a younger sister named Gabrielle whose underaged and rebels in a house full of Playboy bunnies by being the mature one.

The first episode, which premiered tonight, revolved around Neiers' arrest and the immediate aftermath of losing a major modeling gig as a result. It was a very "dramatic" way to launch a new series and fans of the genre will definitely be hooked. E! has another hit. There's no doubt about it. However, one has to question the show's in-direct message. In this world of Paris Hilton where anyone can become famous, E! has set a new low. Hopefully REAL celebrities will add more security to their homes because a lot of dumb people are going to try and rob them so they too can get their 15 minutes of fame.

E! airs these type of shows because it has made a profit for them in the past.

Seriously? these girls are so freaking clueless on what life really is. i hope this prissy little girl is going to jail cause it is about time that the "reality" in reality TV is shown.  Why steal when you have so much money at your disposal? why cant these girls actually represent themselves as intelligent or classy, instead they show off as much cleavage and shin as possible then cry when "reality" actually happens.  I have scene maybe 3 episodes of this show and all i can say is you get what you deserve.  I guarantee if someone stole  from them, they would press charges to the fullest but since princess whats to cry her sorry fake tears she will have a reduced sentence.  I had no clue who this chic was until she was or is involved in this scandal of the "stolen items".  Guess what.. careful what you wish for you just might get it.. now your name is famous and now your on the cover of articles cause your dumb ass has to steal or act shameless, bravo your a thief with designer tears.   PS.. love how she is on trial yet she has time for a date and time for her own vanity. Guess what he treats you like trash cause you dress and act trashy, try stealing confidence or self respect

My husband totally agrees with you. I don't even wanna elaborate on it cause after 5 minutes of the show every smart person can see how SHALLOW the girls are. Anyway, TV sations make money on shows like that and that's a fact. Welcome to reality!

Young girls show off as much of their "cleavage and shin" as possible because society rewards such behavior. Her mother was a Playboy model! I mean, duh! Her mother knows that women can make A LOT of money by selling their bodies, either figuratively or literally. Until society places value on women for something other than how beautiful they are, this kind of thing will never stop.

Like seriously if you don't like these girls or their damn show stop watching it!!!

So, we can't have a discussion about something in our culture? "If you don't like it, don't watch it" doesn't address the point that we need to have a serious discussion about what we are teaching young girls.

Spoiled brats with a poor excuse for a mother.  E, what are you doing with a show about these unknowns?  Alexis cries constantly, and the girls all speak to their mother with total disrespect, which she accepts.  Their spirituality and their actions are polar opposites.  Horrible show!

I have a 17 year old daughter and it's very easy for some to say just turn the channel, but this is the worst example of a couple of teenage girls I've seen in awhile and that's saying alot. It's hard to raise a well rounded teenage girl in this day and age and with shows like this I just feel like why? Why is this something we want our teenagers watching. I know I sound old, 43 but would it be so difficult to have a show setting a good example for our girls? After all they are our future.

I think theese girls are rediculous! They go on T.V and make a complete fool of themselves. I mean serioulsy, do they watch thier own episodes? I would be completely mortified to see myself fake crying and pretending to be a "HollyWood star". I laughed my ass of when Alexis was in Cabo and her and Tess were talking about how immature Gaby was and that when they were sixteen they were already in HollyWood, and how mature they were at sixteen. Then the next part showed Alexis crying, agin, " I just wanna spend this last day here...with Javier" Yup! That was real mature, crying over a guy you just met a day ago, and by the way weren't you guys sixteen like a minute ago? they act like their so grown! I truly can't stand the show, but it's so hard to change the channel cause I want to see what stupid shit thier gonna do next! I love making fun of theese idiots especially the mom! Hef sure know's how to pick em'.

It's like watching a building implode...great fun as long as you don't get too close. Their 'Mother' is a complete, over-indulgent, self-absorbed psuedo know-it-all. You failed Andrea...as a Mother/Teacher. These kids don't need you as a friend, they need you as a MOTHER! Step up Babe or step aside. You've succeeded in raising idiots.

This is becoming a Porn show!  Why are they allowed to show full view of their boobs, when other decent shows block boobs.  Spoiled, rich girls, flaunting their bodies!  Can't you do better than this on E.  Love the Soup!  We don't need this shallow family! Please don't renew them!

Just watched an episode.  How sad these little girls seem.  They may have been at home, but not schooled in any academic way.  They seem limited in all matters of the mind, including intelligent conversation.   When education is not absorbed, self-obsession is.  What a small world they live in, just watching their bodies and hoping others are too.  What a sad little life awaits them, and in a year or two, no one will care.  What kind of mother prostitutes her children?  And what station airs this?  Not one I will be watching from now on.

I can't believe E would have a show this dumb on, really!  That Mom if you can call her a Mom.  Needs help!  No wonder they act like that, I thank God my kids, in my family don't act like that.  Their behavior shouldn't be shown on TV, just shows how Horrible they were Raised, out of control. They at least need to have respect for themselves.
