Price Comparison: New Moon DVD and Blu-Ray
If you're on the East coast then the Twilight saga's New Moon is officially released on DVD, Blu-Ray, OnDemand, and download. If you're on the West coast, well, you have a couple of hours left. Regardless, what many fans and parents of younger fans have in mind right now is where to buy the DVD or Blu-Ray. So, here's a guide to help you out. And remember to check local ads since there could be some great deals in your neck of the woods.
- Best Buy is offering the Blu-Ray edition for $21.99. It's $26.99 with an exclusive steelbook package. The two-disc DVD is $19.99 with $24.99 for the steelbook version.
- Target has an exclusive two-disc Blu-Ray for $24.99 and an exclusive three-disc DVD for $19.99. The regular two disc DVD is $16.99. And if you purchase any version with Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town, Astro Boy (DVD or Blu-Ray), or Bandslam you get $5 off. Also, both the exclusive DVD and Blu-Ray editions include a collectable film cell. Although that's only included in the first 250 copies sold per store.
- Wal-Mart has several versions. There's the Blu-Ray with a sneak peek at Eclipse, the third installment that opens in theaters on June 30, for $29.96, the regular Blu-Ray edition for $19.96, the two-disc DVD with the Eclipse footage for $24.96, the regular two-disc DVD for $17, and if you purchase Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town along with their exclusive DVD edition it's $29.96.
Target seems to have the best offer. It's $16.99 for the regular two-disc DVD. That's a great discount. Although if a Wal-Mart is closer to you and you want to save gas then the $17 for the regular two-disc DVD is essentially the same deal. As for bonus features, again, Target is the ideal store. The extra disc is basically free when comparing their overall price with other stores. And the disc does have a lot of content. It's over an hour long.
