Prince Announces 'Welcome 2 America' Tour Beginning December 2010

Prince announced that his 'Welcome 2 America' tour, in support of his album 20ten, will begin in December. Since Prince has no website, the Prince tour dates for 2010 and 2011 have not yet been listed. All we've been told is that the Prince 2010 tour will begin on "a purple day in December"; not sure what date that is.

Said the Minneapolis-born superstar, "Bring your friends, bring your children, and bring foot spray because it's going to be funky."

We'd suggest checking the official website for Prince's 2010/2011 tour dates, but his website does not exist. Prince had shut down lotusflow3r.com after declaring the internet to be "over". The artist who pioneered online distribution had said that he doesn't want anyone downloading his music. No word on whether cell phones will be allowed in the venues visited by the Prince 2010 tour.

The "Purple Rain" singer did name a few of the participants who would perform, including Maceo Parker, Mind Condition, Cassandra Wilson and his "favorite new artist" Janelle MonĂ¡e.
"Come early and come often," he said, as he closed his remarks. "No concert is ever the same."
