Project Runway Season 6 to Begin Airing August 20th

Project Runway is back. The much-loved fashion design competition and reality show will return for its sixth season beginning on August 20, 2009.

After a lengthy legal dispute, Runway will move from its current home on Bravo TV to a new deal with the Lifetime network.

The show will also debut a spin-off series "Models of the Runway" that will focus, unsurprisingly, on the competition from the models' perspective.

"Project Runway" finally has a date to reunite with fans after sewing up its legal battle: The show's sixth season will start Aug. 20.

Lifetime, the new cable TV home for the designer-competition series, announced the season premiere along with a new companion series, "Models of the Runway."
